To enhance training, the department has set objectives to be achieved annually:
- Equipping of the Electrical Workshop and telecommunication/Electronic Labs with modern machines and equipment to suit application of new technology
- Training or Attaching at least two lecturers to industries where modern technologies are applied.
The department targets to train all levels of youth starting with the lowest cadre of KCPE graduates who join Artisan in Electrical Installation and if successful moves on to Craft and then proceeds to Diploma and those successful joins technical university in year Three for Bachelor of Technology where they can move on the trraining ladder to be limited by the sky.
